While the 2025 NFL Draft weekend was filled with highs, the aftermath has brought plenty of lows.
After Colorado star and new Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders went viral for being prank-called by the son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich — a member of an Ole Miss fraternity — it quickly became clear he wasn't the only target. Several other draft prospects were also duped by pranksters.
Most recently, it was revealed that Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond had also fallen victim to a prank call during the draft process. Other players who were tricked included Penn State tight end Tyler Warren and Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord.
ProFootballTalk reported that a third, unnamed prospect received a call during the draft, 30 minutes after being selected, claiming the player was being traded.
Many football fans voiced their disgust for the distasteful prank calls.
"How did that young man’s number get out?" one user wrote on X.
Another commented, "There should be some serious consequences for these kids."
Because of the uproar, the NFL has launched an investigation into the prank calls, aiming to find out how the players' private phone numbers were accessed and to address the breach.

To make matters worse for Bond, he was not selected during the draft and will now look to catch on with an NFL team as an undrafted free agent.
While being a steady weapon in the Alabama Crimson Tide passing attack for a pair of seasons, Bond took his talents to Austin as a Texas Longhorn but endured a disheartening 2024 campaign as he tallied only 540 receiving yards on 34 catches.
Fingers crossed that Bond can use the disappointing weekend as fuel to catapult himself into a quality player at the professional level.

Awful: An Alabama fan called Texas WR Isaiah Bond during the draft, pretending to be the Falcons and claimed they were drafting him.
These aren't ‘pranks’; they are cruel.
