Calipari gives injury and NBA update on Vanderbilt

John Calipari was seen at the NBA Draft Combine, and spoke on the condition of Jarred Vanderbilt. Calipari said that Vanderbilt didn’t participate in the combine because he physically couldn’t, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader’s Jerry Tipton. Calipari also told the Courier-Journal that it just didn’t make sense for Vanderbilt to come if he couldn’t work, but it didn’t stop him from meeting with NBA teams. “He asked me what I thought about him not coming, and I said if you cannot do any of the stuff I don’t see the reason,” Calipari said. “And he met with a team or two, so he’s done some of that.” Vanderbilt is still weighing his options after skipping the combine, according to a tweet
