Early on in North Carolina's 2025-26 season, you could see the star potential that five-star forward Caleb Wilson had. Right away he made an impact for the Tar Heels and it was clear that he was their best player.

As the season went on, Wilson got better. He helped the Tar Heels hit a key stretch in February, including an upset win over Duke at home. But against Miami, Wilson suffered a wrist injury attempting to block a shot, costing him to miss the next few weeks. He then broke his thumb while making his way back to the court and it cost himself the rest of the year.

Even so, Wilson made an impact and earned a spot on a few All-American teams. The latest? CBS Sports, which put Wilson on their All-American Third Team:

Wilson was on pace to potentially end up as a first-team All-American before two separate hand injuries cost him the final month of the season. When Wilson played, he was one of the most entertaining players in the sport to watch, with highlight dunks and blocks that could make you jump out of your seat. Wilson could be UNC's first top-five pick in the NBA Draft since Marvin Williams in 2005.

In his lone season at North Carolina, Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists while shooting 57.8 percent from the field. Next up for Wilson is the 2026 NBA Draft where he could improve his stock even more.
