As the Indiana Fever held their first of four practice days on Tuesday morning during their Commissioner's Cup break, Fever head coach Stephanie White provided an injury update on star Caitlin Clark.
Clark, who missed the Fever's Saturday win over the Los Angeles Sparks with a back injury, did not practice on Tuesday. Fellow Fever guard Sophie Cunningham was also sidelined from practice with an illness.
Fever head coach Stephanie White said that Clark was going to do some individual work after practice, though.
Indiana returns to play on Sunday, July 5 with a date at the Las Vegas Aces. The Fever and its fans hope that Clark is available for a quick return as soon as Sunday against the Aces.
As it stands, Clark has now missed two games due to injury on the season. Clark was limited to just 13 regular-season games in 2025 with a variety of injuries.
"No indication (of how long she'll be out). Obviously, it's a good time because we have all week next week. So, we'll take this opportunity just to get her treatment, get her healthy, get her back on the floor and see what happens. It's the same thing. Long-term health and wellness is the most important thing," White said of Clark on Friday, June 26.
Clark is currently averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game on 43% field goal shooting, 34.4% 3-point shooting and 85.4% free-throw accuracy.
