After a week filled with drama, Caitlin Clark responded with a solid all-around performance on Thursday night in the Indiana Fever's 83-71 win over the Atlanta Dream (6-3), scoring 17 points and contributing eight assists, seven rebounds, and one block in 31 minutes of play.

However, after the game, Clark revealed she was battling an illness during halftime but persevered through the sickness to help propel the Fever (5-4) to a much-needed victory.

"Yeah, I mean, a little sick. I tried to eat some applesauce, and then it just came up, and then everything else in my stomach also came up. So, I thought it was gonna stay down, and then I found a trash can, thank God.

"I haven't puked that much in a really long time, but then I felt fine. I felt light, so I was running around feeling good in the second half, but I feel okay. Obviously, I'm losing my voice a little bit. But, I'll be good," Clark said.

The are Fever back in action on Saturday night from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., as they take on the New York Liberty (6-4). It doesn't appear that Clark's illness is going to have any implications on her status for the game, though Indiana listed Clark on its day-before injury report as probable with her ongoing back ailment.

The Fever and Liberty are scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT tipoff, and the game will be nationally broadcast on CBS.
