Espérance de Tunis clinched a hard-fought victory over Tanzanian side Simba SC (1-0) in a match counting for the third round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League 2025-2026.
Burkinabe sensation Jack Diarra netted the only goal of the encounter in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a superb assist from Amine Ben Hamida.
Though not at their sharpest, the Tunisian giants managed the match well, even creating several clear-cut chances to double their lead.

Thanks to this win, the "Blood and Gold" move up to five points, just one ahead of Stade Malien and Petro Luanda, who will battle it out in an intense showdown on Sunday, January 25, as part of the same round.
