Butler basketball is adding its second ACC opponent to its 2026-27 schedule, as first-year coach Ronald Nored and the Bulldogs have agreed to play a home-and-home series against Pittsburgh.
Butler will host Pitt on Nov. 13 at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Dawgs will make the trip to Pittsburgh during the 2027-28 season.
The tip time and television assignment for this season's game will be announced at a later date.
Pitt finished last season with a 13-20 record. The Panthers are bringing in 13 new players — 11 transfers and two freshmen. Butler is 8-6 all-time against Pitt.
Pitt joins North Carolina as ACC opponents on Butler's nonconference schedule. Butler will play the Tar Heels on Dec. 6.
Other nonconference games announced for the 2026-27 season include: Nebraska in a neutral-site contest Nov. 22 in Chicago, Boise State on the road Nov. 8 and home games against Lafayette (Nov. 2), Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 4), Western Carolina (Nov. 17), Bellarmine (Nov. 27) and an Oct. 10 exhibition against Indiana State.
