BVB eyeing Book for sporting director role?
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund is eyeing Nils-Ole Book to replace Sebastian Kehl as
️ Nils-Ole Book is a candidate at Borussia Dortmund to replace Sebastian Kehl with immediate effect.
BVB are looking to appoint an external candidate soon, with several options currently being assessed.

Plettenberg later checked in to say that Book is not just a candidate, but a favorite for the gig:

Advanced negotiations are taking place between all parties. Final details are being discussed. A compensation fee will be required for the 40 y/o Book, who is currently the sporting boss of second-division club SV Elversberg. #BVB

Again! Plettenberg checked back to say the deal is done:
BREAKING | Ole Book to Borussia Dortmund – DONE DEAL
Now official as revealed today: 40 y/o Book will become the new sporting director of #BVB with immediate effect. A full agreement with SV Elversberg has been reached, with Dortmund buying him out of his contract. Contract until 2029.
He was the top candidate to replace Sebastian Kehl.

FC Köln makes coaching change
After its 3-3 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Köln sacked head coach Lukas Kwasniok:
#effzeh and Lukas Kwasniok have gone their separate ways. The decision came a day after the draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

In a weird way, Kwasniok might have fallen victim to the good job he was doing earlier this season. As the Billy Goats looked more threatening, their players got more popular on the transfer market…and maybe more distracted. Now, FC Köln hired René Wagner as its interim coach:

In addition, FC Köln brought in Armin Reutershahn to assist Wagner:

Leweling planning on attending Germany camp despite injury
VfB Stuttgart star Jamie Leweling will head out to the German national team camp despite a calf injury per Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg:
Current plan: Jamie #Leweling will travel to the DFB camp despite being sidelined. Absolutely wants to be there. Currently still injured (calf). Further examinations/scans planned on site.
Participation open, at least for the match vs. Switzerland. Missed VfB Stuttgart’s games against Porto and Augsburg.
