The Buffalo Bills have requested an interview with former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll for their head coaching vacancy, reports NFL insider Dianna Russini.
Daboll, 50, served as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2021, where he was instrumental in developing quarterback Josh Allen into an elite talent. A West Seneca native with deep ties to Western New York and strong relationships within the organization, including general manager Brandon Beane, Daboll’s candidacy comes as no surprise.
After a successful 2022 season with the Giants that earned him AP Coach of the Year honors and a playoff victory, Daboll struggled in subsequent years, posting a 21-41-1 regular-season record before being fired in November 2025 following a 2-8 start.
This offseason, Daboll has been a popular name on the coaching market. He interviewed for the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching job (ultimately filled by Robert Saleh) and the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive coordinator role (awarded to Mike McDaniel). The Philadelphia Eagles have also expressed significant interest in him for their offensive coordinator position.
With the Bills now pursuing Daboll as head coach, interested teams may have to wait to see how Buffalo’s search unfolds.
