Buffalo Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was injured during on Saturday, August 1 during the team’s training camp practice at St. John Fisher University. An initial observation by News 4 Buffalo reporter Carl Jones stated that “Gardner-Johnson went down during team period holding his lower leg area” before being helped off the field by trainers.
Later reports on Gardner-Johnson’s injury shared that he wasn’t able to put much weight on his right leg, with the team’s athletic trainers looking at the back of his foot by the Achilles. Gardner-Johnson was subsequently carted off back to the locker room after being attended to in the medical tent.
