Assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers will not be returning to the Arizona Cardinals in 2026. He will be coaching elsewhere.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Rodgers is being hired by the Buffalo Bills to be their special teams coach under new head coach Joe Brady. Russini states that he will have the same role, which would presumably mean that he will also carry the title of assistant head coach, but that was not explicitly stated.

Rodgers had been on the Cardinals' staff since 2018 when Steve Wilks was hired as head coach. He stayed on through three head coaches' tenure — Wilks, Kliff Kingsbury and Jonathan Gannon.

That means that the Cardinals will have someone other than Rodgers since Bruce Arians was head coach.

As for right now, the Cardinals still don't even have a head coach, so it isn't surprising that Rodgers landed elsewhere.
