Injuries continue to plague the Buccaneers as safety Tykee Smith and outside linebacker Haason Reddick are both questionable to return to Tampa Bay's Week 14 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Smith cleared concussion protocol but suffered a stinger during Tampa Bay's final defensive drive of the first half. Reddick injured his ankle just before playing later.

Smith was replaced by Christian Izien while the Bucs continue to rotate Anthony Nelson and Chris Braswell at outside linebacker. Tampa Bay may already be missing Smith and Reddick as they allowed a touchdown on their first defensive drive of the second half with Smith and Reddick on the sidelines.

Smith is Tampa Bay's leading tackler and probably its best overall defender. Reddick has already missed four games this season with knee and ankle injuries. Without Reddick, the Bucs struggled to get much pass rush with just four rushers, which is the main reason why he was signed by Tampa Bay last offseason. Head coach and defensive play-caller Todd Bowles may be forced to lean into the blitz, which will be tough with Smith sidelined as well.
