The Bucs have made building their offensive line a critical part of their overall roster-building. They started the process when they signed Tom Brady in 2020 and drafted Tristan Wirfs in the first round of that year's NFL Draft. From there, they have used several day two picks, as well as a first, to build up the rest of the line.
One of the stars they found in the process of the NFL Draft is right tackle Luke Goedeke out of Central Michigan. He joined the team as a major project, and he has turned himself into a building block of the roster overall. Because of that, PFF's Zach Tantillo recently chose who the "Secret Superstar" was of each NFL roster.
For the Bucs, he chose the franchise centerpiece, Luke Goedeke.
Tantillo writes, "Goedeke emerged as Tampa Bay’s most reliable offensive lineman outside of Tristan Wirfs in 2025. He earned a 79.2 PFF grade, the only Buccaneers offensive lineman above 63.0 and second on the unit behind Wirfs. Goedeke was also the lone Tampa Bay lineman with at least 150 pass-blocking snaps to allow zero sacks, and after returning from injured reserve in Week 10, he did not post a single game with a pass-blocking grade below 66.5, showing strong consistency down the stretch."
Goedeke is already being paid like a superstar after earning a $90 million extension ahead of last season. He dealt with some injuries, but when he was in the lineup, he was as good as any offensive lineman in the NFL.
