The Miami Marlins didn't have the greatest start to the season, but were able to rebound well. After two months of lackluster play, the team was able to surge during June.

They went on a 16-4 run and put themselves right in the wild card conversation. However, the team has looked completely different as of late.

Miami has struggled mightily over the last few weeks. So much so that they have quite a bit of work to do if they want to be back in the wild card hunt, with four teams ahead of them trying to steal that last spot.

Last week, the Marlins had their work cut out for them. They took on the Houston Astros, who have been playing well as of late, and then a series against the San Diego Padres.

Miami failed to get anything going, getting swept in both series, making for an 0-6 week. With this, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter takes this team from No. 13 to No. 23 in his latest power rankings.

"After going 16-4 over a 20-game stretch as arguably the hottest team in baseball, the Marlins are in an absolute free fall right now as they have been swept in four consecutive series for a 12-game losing streak overall. Comfortably in the playoff picture at the end of that hot streak, they now look like potential deadline sellers. Who's ready for a fresh round of Sandy Alcantara trade rumors?"

As Reuter mentions, the Marlins are now on a 12-game losing streak that could continue in their next series against the Philadelphia Phillies starting on Monday.

After that, things get a little bit easier with a series against the struggling New York Mets before they take on one of MLB's best teams in the Atlanta Braves.
