The Boston Bruins know every game is important, and the team needs to focus on the task at hand.

Boston is in the thick of a playoff push, as the Bruins are holding onto the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. However, Boston is coming off an overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, in a game the Bruins blew two different leads.

Although the loss was tough, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm said the team needs to flush it and focus on Tuesday’s home game against the Los Angeles Kings.

“It was not a terrible game, it was a bad ending, but we did a lot of good things,” Sturm said pregame on Tuesday. “For 40 minutes, we played pretty good hockey. Unfortunately, we made too many mistakes, and the third cost us the game.

“We talked about it this morning, because yesterday was a day off, and we’re going to continue to get better and focus on tonight.”

Bruins forward Viktor Arvidsson, meanwhile, agreed with his coach as the team is well aware of how important every game is.

“The standings are tight, and we’ve got to be ready to go,” Arvidsson said. “We’ve been good at home, so we have to keep that going and stick to our game plan and structure.”

The Bruins will host the Kings on Tuesday at TD Garden for a 7 p.m. puck drop. Boston is looking to extend their home winning streak to 13 games.
