bruce cooper kept saying trade for northcutt?

On thursday morning, bruce cooper was guest co-host on the early show on KDUS..and he kept saying...we need to trade our 3rd round pick for dennis northcutt..he said northcutt over and over...

I have only read rumors that the browns want to trade kevin johnson for a draft pick...was bruce confusing northcutt with johnson - or are both of the receivers available via trade (rumored trade)? Sure they only want to part with one - just not sure now which one...northcutt is mostly a return guy - and johnson is a receiver..which makes me think bruce was not confused and he should know northcutt pretty well since he went to UofA..but if northcutt is available for a 3rd round pick - 1st I have heard of it..

He is wrong.

KJ is the only that they are offering up.

You would think a professional would be able to tell the difference. It is frustrating when fans know more than the people who are supposed to be informing the public.

Was anyone else listening to the show? also...I do have my radio today...any useful info from the KDUS mock draft (or cardinals tidbits from jurecki)?..although this week the cardinals have given jurecki a new job title: Misinformation Director...using him to spread b.s.

The mock draft is inded this morning, and I will make the Seahawks pick. They told me I will be on sometime between 10-11am.

I should tape it and use it as my audition tape, and take Dave Patch's job!

How do we know? The reason Cleveland is looking to trade a WR is they have 4 that are just about equal, Johnson, Northcutt, Andre Davis and Quincy Morgan. My guess is they probably would deal either Northcutt or Johnson because they're "older" and less likely to suddenly blossom than Davis or Morgan. Right now you can flip a coin between the 4 they're all fairly equal players with somewhat different skills.

I know Johnson is asking for things Cleveland may not be willing to give but my understanding is Northcutt was in the doghouse at one point last year for the same reason. When you have 4 players that close in skill it can create a problem if they all think they're the #1 guy.

I'd take any of the 4 for a #3 pick.

I would be happy with nortcutt as our punt returner..does he have any potential to be a decent receiver? whatever..he would be an upgrade over last season (arnold jackson). Jackson turned into a below average punt returner and obviously cannot cut it as a receiver (if he ever had the chance..it was last season).

I would like to go off with some sort of goofy pick, but there a pair of steaks on the line if I draft like the Seahawks really do on Saturday.

I'd give you a hint as to who I'm going for, but I have to hold my cards close to my chest.

Well, I'm just going on the info that has been offered....Johnson has been the one reportedly offered up, not Northcutt.

I mean, they possibly could be offering Northcutt, but there hasn't been any reports of that.
