For using his leg to knock down Chirs Paul

I'm glad the league is finally recognizing that this guy crosses the line when he plays defense. Hopefully, more fouls will be called on him when he his hacking away at players like Nash

Wow finally that piece of crap scumbag got something for his actions. The refs called Paul for the foul right? While Bowen went into the Spurs standard "Don't shoot, don't shoot" hands out palms up bug-eyed act they all do so well.

Methinks it is not just because of this incident, but because of Bowen's entire body of work. Add up all the crap he's pulled and not gotten suspended for and then consider the Spurs lucky that this is just his first suspension.

It's funny how this suspension is wrong but the Amare/Diaw ones were so right.

Bowen tried to (or did) kick Paul. That means he gets suspended. Plain and simple.

I thought CP3 would get a suspension as well. At least they finally gave Bowen one.

:biglaugh: So WEAK!!!! Here is a Spurs fans weak attempt at defending this. Notice that he didn't use the same footage of the other video posted. The footage being used here to "BACK UP" his point clearly disregards the other footage posted that shows a much better view of what the Dirty BB did. Way to cherry pick and choose the footage!

What a joke!!!! BB has a HISTORY of dirty play. It's about time.

There's something so enjoyable about him being suspended. I bet when he got suspended he had that same "Who me" look the Spurs all have.

bowen = the biggest piece of s-word in the league.. i wouldn't mind someone performing a career ending injury on him on purpose then pulling out their wang and pissing on him in the middle of court..

obviously this would work well if they brought up a d-league player to perform the dirty work..

What I don't understand is why he's protected so much. He kneed Nash in the balls, kicked Amare in the ankle but didn't get any punishment. Whats the motivation in protecting this douche? San Antonio is not a big market at all, so why?

I think the league HATES suspending players. It works against the perception that all the players are good guys, clean guys, fair-play guys. They want to maintain the illusion that it's a sport you can bring the whole family to...you know so you can buy tickets for the whole family, and jerseys for the whole family...

I would agree with that for sure. In some ways they have to paint the best picture of their "Product" but when guys continue to do this and do not really get punished, that also sends a negative message about the game.

They do a good job of making average fans think the players are model citizens though....

The problem is that Bowen is amazingly sneaky in the way that he does this. Usually you have to replay it in slo mo to see what he does. Refs don't see it in the actual flow of the game.

The league office is loathe to penalize for something that the refs on the court miss. In this case, they not only missed it, they called it the wrong way.

It's because Duncan has nude photos of Stern stored in Popovich's basement.:raccoon:
