The rebuild of the Cleveland Browns' offensive line has already begun after the team traded for right tackle Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans. But they still have more work to do, and though they are likely to target a couple of linemen in the 2026 NFL draft, they need to add some experience to the group as well.

Here are five interior offensive linemen the Browns should target in free agency next week.

Tyler Biadasz, C, Washington Commanders

Tyler Biadasz was recently released by the Washington Commanders due to cost and not because he's a bad player or because he's coming off a bad season. Biadasz is just 28 years old and is a slightly better run blocker than he is a pass protector. As a pass blocker last year, he allowed just 21 pressures with three sacks and zero quarterback hits. Biadasz had a 71.2 run blocking grade and was set to make a little under $11 million on the cap in 2026 before his release.

Biadasz suffered an ankle and knee injury on Christmas Day, but unless there is a setback, he should be ready for camp.

Connor McGovern, C, Buffalo Bills

Connor McGovern is one of the most intriguing offensive linemen on the market because of his versatility. He started his career with the Dallas Cowboys and played primarily at right and left guard. In his first year in Buffalo, he also played left guard before becoming the team's center for the last two years. It's clear his best position is at center, but the flexibility is nice to have. The last two years at the center for Buffalo, he hasn't allowed a single sack and just three quarterback hits in the two years.

Zion Johnson, G, Los Angeles Chargers

Zion Johnson has been the Chargers' starting left guard for the past three seasons, but he was the starting right guard as a rookie, so he has experience and could play either side in Cleveland. Johnson would be a more cost-effective signing. He is a league-average guard, maybe slightly above average, who isn't a superstar, but raises the floor of the offensive line, which is exactly what the Browns must do. Over his four years in the NFL, he has allowed a total of 17 sacks as a pass protector.

Alijah Vera-Tucker, G, New York Jets

Alijah Vera-Tucker missed the 2025 season after tearing his triceps in September. He has had some other injury issues in the past, but it is hard to argue the talent. He is a former first-round pick, and Andrew Berry loves to bring in former top picks and see if a change of scenery helps. Vera-Tucker has played both guard spots as well as right tackle, but he's at his best on the interior. He got better and better over his career, and in 2024, when he last played, he allowed just 16 pressures and four sacks, while always being an above-average run blocker.

Kevin Zeitler, G, Tennessee Titans

If the Browns decide to draft a developmental right guard and want him to sit a year behind a veteran, bringing back Kevin Zeitler would make a lot of sense. He will be 36 this season, but he hasn't shown much decline in his play despite 14 seasons in the NFL. This isn't a long-term option, but it would help young guys learn and provide a stopgap for a year or two.
