The Cleveland Browns are set to kick off training camp with yet another quarterback competition as Deshaun Watson battles with last year's fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders for the starting job. The Watson trade and experiment have been an absolute disaster, and there is little reason to believe that will change coming off another injury. Watson hasn't been great since he was in Houston; there is little to no chance he's the future.
Shedeur Sanders had some moments but more bad than good; if he doesn't take a massive step forward, the Browns will likely be picking high in the first round. In my latest podcast, we did a way too early 2027 NFL mock draft with the Browns taking Oregon quarterback Dante Moore with the fourth overall pick.
