With the Cleveland Browns entering the OTA period this week, many fans are excited to see how the team looks before the upcoming NFL season.
While most of the attention surrounding the team has been focused on the quarterback battle between veteran Deshaun Watson and 2025 fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders, fans were able to receive an update as to which players are active during Wednesday's OTAs. And despite Cleveland suffering an ample amount of season-ending injuries last season, there are multiple players who have made the return to practice this week.
Here are all the players who were participating in Wednesday's OTA period, as well as the players who were not practicing.
Out of all the players that suffered a season-ending injury in 2025, it’s a terrific sign to see only two players not practicing from the bunch during this week’s OTA period.
However, the one name that has popped up on this list is the 2025 third-round pick, Harold Fannin Jr., who is coming off an impressive rookie season with the Browns. The 21-year-old tight end’s 2025 campaign was cut short after suffering a groin injury in December, but luckily for fans, Fannin did participate in the team’s voluntary minicamp last month.
Another offensive player who is still recovering from an injury is center Luke Wypler, as he suffered a knee injury in the final regular season game of the 2025 season. This leaves the door open for 2026 fifth-round pick Parker Brailsford to gain meaningful snaps throughout the course of the offseason.
One of the most important offensive weapons for the Browns last year, running back Quinshon Judkins, is finally back to practicing during OTAs.
Judkins, the team’s second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was off to an incredible start as a rookie, tallying 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games played last year. Unfortunately for the former Ohio State standout, his successful stint was cut short when he suffered a gruesome leg injury against the Buffalo Bills. But Judkins’ progress that he’s shown from voluntary minicamp last month to OTAs this week is a promising sign for his available in 2026.
In addition to Judkins, former 2023 fourth-round pick Dawand Jones is back to practicing after missing a majority of the 2025 season. Jones went down with a knee injury during the team’s contest against the Green Bay Packers, causing the offensive line play to take a significant hit last year. Now, with the young offensive tackle back in the mix for the Browns, he must compete for a starting role against veteran Tytus Howard and a pair of rookies, Spencer Fano and Austin Barber.
