Week 7 of the 2025 season will pit the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants against each other, a matchup of two hot teams right now.

It will also be a special time for Broncos fans everywhere, as the team plans to honor the 10-year anniversary of the Super Bowl 50 victory, as well as inducting the late Demaryius Thomas into the Broncos Ring of Fame.

The Broncos' Ring of Fame jacket and ring will be accepted Thomas' parents, Katina Smith and Bobby Thomas, and many other family members will also be in attendance, according to Denver Broncos writer Aric DeLalla. "The pillar unveiling will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Ring of Fame Plaza on the south end of Empower Field at Mile High," wrote DeLalla. "Voice of the Broncos Dave Logan will emcee the unveiling, which will also feature Super Bowl 50 head coach Gary Kubiak and Thomas' parents."

Thomas was elected into the Ring of Fame in May, the 38th member of the club in team history. Thomas was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Georgia Tech, where he became a favorite and reliable target for quarterbacks from Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning to Case Keenum. Thomas' signature career moment came in the 2011 AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the first play of overtime, Thomas caught a pass from Tebow over the middle and took it 80 yards for the game-winning score. Of course, the moment is just one of 665 he had in a Broncos uniform, the number of receptions he had in Denver.

Thomas tragically passed away in 2021 with complications of seizure disorder in his Georgia home. Thomas was suffering from Grade 2 CTE at the time of his death.

Thomas is one of the most memorable players in Bronco history, and is taking his rightful place in the stadium he spent the majority of his career playing in. Next stop, Canton? Former teammate and current Bronco Courtland Sutton believes so. "I think that it’s something that he earned," Sutton said earlier this year. "If the committee finds it fitting to vote him into the Hall of Fame, I think that will be something that will be an amazing accomplishment for himself, his family [and] this organization."

Thomas could one day join several other Bronco Hall of Famers, two just from the Super Bowl 50 team. Hall of Famers Demarcus Ware and Peyton Manning, along with other members of the Super Bowl 50 team, will make their way back to Empower Field at Mile High this week as the team honors the 10-year anniversary of that championship team.

The Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50, as Manning rode off into the sunset a winner. The Super Bowl also featured the likes of Von Miller winning the Super Bowl MVP, forcing two fumbles, and sacking Carolina quarterback Cam Newton 2.5 times. Denver will face Miller and the Washington Commanders in Week 13 on the road.

This week will be a time of remembrance and good memories, both for Thomas and the Super Bowl 50 team.
