The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos released their list of inactive players before their Week 17 matchup at Arrowhead Stadium for the Christmas night home regular-season finale.

Kansas City is looking to end a four-game skid after losing last week's game to the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.

Denver is trying to get back into the win column after losing last week's game to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16.

Here are the inactive players for the Chiefs:

  • DB Melvin Smith
  • RB Dameon Pierce
  • DL Ethan Downs
  • DL Tyreke Smith
  • OL CJ Hanson
  • OL Jaylon Moore
  • DL Derrick Nnadi

Here are the inactive players for the Broncos:

  • WR Pat Bryant
  • LB Dre Greenlaw
  • TE Nate Adkins
  • LB Que Robinson
  • OL Geron Christian
  • DL Jordan Jackson
  • DL Sai'vion Jones

During the season, inactives are players ruled out of a game and will not participate, even though they are on the active roster.

The Chiefs and their opponent must announce the listed inactive players an hour and a half before kickoff. The designation can be due to injury, coaching decisions, or various alternative reasons.
