The Denver Broncos are bringing back another tight end.
After previously agreeing to a three-year deal with Adam Trautman and a one-year deal with Nate Adkins, the Broncos are now re-signing Lucas Krull to a one-year contract, according to the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson. The deal is pending a physical.
Krull (6-6, 260 pounds) joined Denver's practice squad in 2023 after being cut by the New Orleans Saints. After dressing for seven games that season, Krull saw his role expand in 2024 as he played in 13 games, totaling 19 receptions for 152 yards. He played in three games last fall before injuries derailed his 2025 campaign.
Krull was a restricted free agent, but the Broncos did not give him a tender, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent. The lowest RFA tender is worth $3.52 million, so Denver is presumably bringing him back for less than that.
The 27-year-old tight end now reunites with Evan Engram, Trautman, Adkins and Caleb Lohner as the Broncos are retaining their primary tight ends from the 2025 campaign. We will continue to track all of Denver's free agency moves on Broncos Wire.
