Following the conclusion of their season, the Denver Broncos are now allowed to sign players not on an active roster or reserve list to reserve/future contracts. The players who sign these deals officially join the 90-man offseason roster when the NFL's new league year begins in March.
The Broncos signed six players to reserve/future deals on Monday, and all six players ended the season on Denver's practice squad. More signings could be on the way in the coming days.
Not on the list is veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis, who has said 2025 would be his final season in the NFL. The 41-year-old tight end will now hang up his cleats after totaling 437 receptions for 5,115 yards and 40 touchdowns in 290 games.
Last year, Denver's list of reserve/future signees included cornerback Reese Taylor and Throckmorton, who both spent time on the Broncos' active roster this season.
