Broncos Wire's 91-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at fourth-year offensive lineman Alex Forsyth, No. 54.

Before the Broncos: Forsyth (6-4, 312 pounds) was a flexible offensive lineman during his five seasons with the Oregon Ducks from 2018-22. Forsyth started 28-of-39 games from 2018-22, making appearances at center, left guard, right guard and right tackle. At Oregon, Forsyth was named second-team All-Pac-12 in 2020 and 2021, before earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2022. After college, Forsyth was selected by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round (257th overall) of the 2023 NFL draft.

Broncos tenure: Forsyth did not dress for any games in the 2023 season, but made his pro debut in 2024 as a backup offensive lineman and special teams player. Forsyth played in all 17 games in 2024, starting four of them. One of Forsyth's lowest moments came during a close game on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he was bowled over, leading to a blocked field goal which lost the game.

That moment would not define Forsyth. In 2025, he rebounded in a big way when center Luke Wattenberg went on injured reserve late in the season. Forsyth got his first start of 2025 against none other than the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead. Forsyth helped the Broncos to a 20-13 win against the short-handed Chiefs, and received a game ball for his redemption.

Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. Forsyth has stepped up when injuries have plagued the offensive line, so it stands to reason that Forsyth will be back in 2026, helping on special teams and offense when needed. Broncos Wire projects Forsyth as the backup center behind Luke Wattenberg.
