The Denver Broncos will begin organized team activities (OTAs) with at least one player sidelined (and that's not including quarterback Bo Nix, who has an uncertain status).

Broncos backup center/guard Nick Gargiulo "won't be participating in spring drills," according to the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson. Gargiulo (6-5, 310 pounds) tore his ACL in a preseason game last summer. The 25-year-old lineman missed the entire 2025 season while on injured reserve and he is still working his way back.

Denver originally picked Gargiulo in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft out of South Carolina. After spending his rookie season on the practice squad, Gargiulo was competing for a backup swing center/guard role before suffering the knee injury last summer.

With Gargiulo sidelined, the Broncos' remaining available centers are incumbent starter Luke Wattenberg, primary backup Alex Forsyth and veteran backup Michael Deiter.
