The Denver Broncos have lost starting quarterback Bo Nix to a season-ending ankle injury, but there's good news elsewhere on the injury front as the team prepares for the AFC Championship game.

After being designated to return from injured reserve on Monday, running back J.K. Dobbins (foot) was back at practice on Wednesday, marking his first practice participation since November. If he's going to play against the New England Patriots on Sunday, Dobbins will have to be activated from IR by Saturday afternoon.

Denver center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder) also returned to practice on Wednesday, opening his window to return from IR. Also present at practice were center Alex Forsyth (ankle), receivers Pat Bryant (concussion) and Troy Franklin (hamstring).

Denver's complete Wednesday injury report will be added below when it becomes available later today.

Meanwhile, tight end Lucas Krull (foot) and linebacker Drew Sanders (ankle) are also practicing, and they remain eligible to be activated from IR. Denver safety Brandon Jones (pectoral) is not expected to return this season.

Sunday's game will be nationally televised on CBS. The Broncos are considered home underdogs.
