The Denver Broncos have officially signed quarterback Ben DiNucci to their practice squad, the team announced Monday.
DiNucci, who previously served as the team's third-string QB in 2023, will provide more depth at the position following Bo Nix's season-ending ankle injury. Jarrett Stidham is set to start in the AFC Championship game on Sunday with Sam Ehlinger serving as QB2. DiNucci returns in a QB3 role.
To make room for DiNucci on the practice squad, Denver terminated the contract of outside linebacker Garrett Nelson. The team's 17-player practice squad is now full ahead of the AFC title game. The Broncos also designated running back J.K. Dobbins to return from injured reserve on Monday.
Dobbins is now set to return to practice this week, and he'll be eligible to be activated from IR ahead of Sunday's showdown with the New England Patriots.
After losing Nix, Denver's considered a home underdog going into the AFC Championship game.
