The Denver Broncos have placed a one-year, exclusive rights free agent tender on safety Devon Key, according to a report from KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. As a player with two accrued seasons, Key will earn $1.075 million on the one-year deal.
It was an easy decision for Denver as the ERFA tenders are worth the league minimum, and Key earned a first-team All-Pro nod as a special teams ace last season. The 28-year-old safety was credited with 26 tackles on special teamsin 2025, setting a new franchise record. He also forced a fumble and broke up a pass as a rotational safety.
Key is now the fourth safety under contract for 2026, joining Brandon Jones, Talanoa Hufunga and JL Skinner.
Elsewhere on the in-house free agent front, the Broncos also placed an ERFA tender on outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman. They also placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian and gave a two-year contract extension to versatile offensive lineman Alex Palczewski.
