The Denver Broncos have a crowded secondary going into training camp.
Pat Surtain is back as the star cornerback. Ross Moss is the incumbent starter across from PS2, but second-year cornerback Jahdae Barron will presumably get an opportunity to compete for that spot this summer. Ja’Quan McMillian does not appear to be in any danger of losing the slot job, so Barron might have to beat out Moss if he wants to see a big increase in snaps this fall. Kris Abrams-Draine and Reese Taylor provide strong depth at cornerback.
At safety, Brandon Jones and Talanoa Hufanga are returning starters, and Devon Key seems to be the top candidate for the third spot. Behind him, rookie Miles Scott will face competition from Tycen Anderson, JL Skinner and undrafted rookie Parker Robertson for a backup safety spot and special teams role.
Denver fans should note that this is a projected depth chart from Broncos Wire, not an official depth chart from the club. Denver won't be required to publish a depth chart until preseason begins in August.
