The Denver Broncos lost a key part of their defensive line when John Franklin-Myers left in free agency to join the Tennessee Titans this spring.

Elsewhere on the line, Zach Allen is returning as one of the starting defensive ends, and D.J. Jones remains the team's top defensive tackle. Malcolm Roach could be a candidate to swing out to DE, but he seems more likely to rotate in as a DT with Jones.

So, who are the options to replace JFM at DE? The top candidates are probably Sai'vion Jones and Eyioma Uwazurike. The team did add Tyler Onyedim in the third round of April's draft, but he'll have to prove himself and seems unlikely to start in Week 1.

Broncos defensive line depth chart

  • DE: Zach Allen, Tyler Onyedim
  • DT: D.J. Jones, Malcolm Roach
  • DE: Sai'vion Jones OR Eyioma Uwazurike
  • Depth: Jordan Jackson, Matt Henningsen, Jordan Miller, Kristian Williams

Note that this is a projected depth chart from Broncos Wire, not an official depth chart from the team. Denver won't be required to publish an official depth chart until preseason games begin in August.
