Is it time to start discussing DBacks new pitching coach Brian Kaplan?

I have noticed the Dbacks pitchers have really been nipping at the corners of the zone and not throwing strikes when they get ahead. We have seen a lot of walks.

So I pulled the pitching staff numbers and it's concerning. Of our 5 starters, only Merrill Kelly has a better WHIP than his career WHIP. If you add in anyone in the bullpen who has pitched more than 5 innings, 6 of the 10 pitchers are worse than their career WHIP.

70% of your staff is pitching worse than the their career numbers on WHIP, that tells me we have a coaching issue.

We really need a top notch pitching coach with what we have for arms and it seems like we always hire mid guys. We need the next Mazzone. This staff would be lights out then.

Spoiler that dude walked but because it's the Rockies it didn't matter but that sort of pitch spread is not sustainable in the majors. Guys will just lay off and walk
