Brendan Schaub thinks Ian Machado Garry is doing himself a disservice every time he gets on the mic.
Machado Garry (17-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) challenges welterweight champion Islam Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) in the UFC 330 main event on Aug. 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia (Paramount+).
Machado Garry drew criticism when he claimed in an interview with High Performance that if the world was run by women, we'd all live in a better world.
"******** he's bad, and these cuck outlets he's going on," Schaub said of Machado Garry on his X. "Do you know the UFC fanbase? I'm like, yeah, he's trolling when he's like, 'The world would be so much better if the world was run by women.' I'm sure you and your wife talk about things at night, that doesn't mean you should use it to promote a cage fight against the pound-for-pound No. 1 guy in the world.
"He should only be allowed to talk about fighting. You know how people tell Lebron James, 'Shut up and dribble,' I never agreed with that. I'm like, come on, man. They're people, too. You got to let them express themselves – until I heard Ian Garry do an interview. I'm like, 'Oh, shut up and fight' because you're turning everybody off and nobody's buying this. Nobody's buying the schtick. Nobody."
Machado Garry will look to become just the second Irish UFC champion. He is a big underdog against Makhachev, who will look to break the UFC record for most consecutive victories.
