The first wave of NFL free agency was a whirlwind for the new look Pittsburgh Steelers. With new head coach Mike McCarthy in charge, the team has wasted no time in assembling pieces on this roster to help finally get the team over the playoff hump.

Including the re-signings of cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. and linebacker Cole Holcomb, Pittsburgh has eight new contracts as of now. The Steelers came into the offseason with a ton of money to spend and they spent a ton of it right out of the gates. According to Over The Cap, here is how the 2026 cap numbers look for the new and returning Steelers. We didn't include defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, who signed a one-year extension with one year left on his current contract.

WR Michael Pittman Jr. - $8.7 million

RB Rico Dowdle - $3.75 million

CB Jamel Dean - $5.5 million

DT Sebastian Joseph-Day $3.65 million

S Jaquan Brisker - $5.5 million

CB Asante Samuel Jr. - $4 million

LB Cole Holcomb - $1.9 million

S Darnell Savage - $1.3 million
