The transfer portal has been open for about a week, and the Colorado Buffaloes have been among the most active teams. Deion Sanders' squad has added 23 transfers to replace the 30-plus departures.
With a new strategy in place that prioritizes highly productive Group of Six and FCS players rather than Power 4 rejects. It seems to be working: the 22-player class ranks No. 17 nationally and No. 4 in the Big 12, despite the Buffs having only one four-star transfer.
While Colorado still has more work to do, the initial rush seems to have subsided, with a few Power 4 stars who visited Boulder taking some final visits after coming to Boulder.
Here is a positional and ranking breakdown of the 23 transfers added so far (in no particular order):
