The Atlanta Falcons are parting ways with head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot.
Morris just finished his second consecutive 8-9 season in Atlanta, yet again failing to get the Falcons to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Fontenot will always be known for signing Kirk Cousins to a contract that would leave a stranglehold on Atlanta, then drafting Michael Penix Jr. soon after, causing a bit of confusion within the organization and around the league.
For most of the season, fans have voiced their opinions on social media and in the stadium by chanting "Fire Morris" and using the same hashtag across different platforms. Raheem Morris now has an overall record of 36-56 as a head coach in the NFL.
The Atlanta Falcons will now look for a new head coach and GM while having a very talented roster. The defense was worlds ahead of where it had been over the last couple of years, but another reliable weapon is needed at the wide receiver position across from Drake London.
The question mark for Atlanta will remain at the quarterback position.
