I think the cards would rather try and slowly develop a player like Williams now that they have some healthy experience as an option.

Williams wasn't ready to play right away, and his great start to camp was more a curse than a blessing in retrospect.. one of those guys who with good coaching could be really good in a year or two.

Don't read too much into this though I thought they would be using him on special teams.

Easily my most hated pick in the Keim area.

Draft a CB who played CB for a year in college, in which he wasn't even good at. Not to mention how weak our CB depth was coming into the season.

Bad mechanics & technique in college. CBs don't get by off just pure athleticism nowadays.

Big reach too cause I'm 99% sure he would've lasted until the 7th round.

I still believe he's not even the best CB we drafted.

I like being optimistic & all, but I highly doubt he's on the roster 3-4 years from now.

100% right

We all know he has the raw athletic ability and he's a fast learner from what everyone says he's just not ready yet but his future is very bright if you ask me

It's early but Williams looks much more like a S than a CB to me.

See cooper give up that TD. I don't think he's much better long term

Cooper was in good position and it was a perfect throw and great catch. More than ironic though that he gave up both TD's to the Rams today, just like BW did in our first loss.

I saw a website where 95% of the experts thought Brandon Williams was good.
Sweet. Why don't you create another Brandon Williams thread discussing the 95% of experts who thought he was good.

Because, like I said, this MB needs more Brandon Williams threads.
