RAPID CITY — The Brandon Valley and O'Gorman girls basketball teams will face each other in the SDHSAA Class AA state championship game for the third year in a row, with the Lady Knights aiming to three-peat.
The Lynx won this year's lone meeting in each team's first game of the season, earning a 63-54 victory at O'Gorman on Dec. 11, 2025.

What the coaches think
"It’s a really cool opportunity for our kids," Brandon Valley head coach Mike Zerr said. "They worked really hard for the opportunity. When the ball goes up tomorrow, it’ll be 50/50. Usually when we get together, we bring the best out of each other. We know it’ll be a great challenge, and that’s what makes it really fun.”
"We've got tremendous respect for them," O'Gorman head coach Kent Kolsrud said. "They're playing at a very high level. We've just got to do the things we need to do to be successful. It starts on the defensive end for us. We're going to have to rebound, execute on offense, hit shots. When you get into big games, kids just have to make plays."
