I'm certainly going to the game. Can't miss tailgating!!

However, a frequent caller to KDUS (who hates everything - name a player, coach, team and add the term "sucks" and you've copied his rants on Jurecki and Lewis' show) is calling for a spectator boycott of the game.

Although I think it's a silly idea, I'm wondering what you all might think if it will occur, could we tell as people are staying in droves anyway, do these things make a difference, etc.

If the fans held a boycott, would anyone notice? Seriously, that's not meant as a slam, but are there any fairweather fans left? No, I don't think so. I think the the majority of fans that have been attending games are the diehards anyway. You won't get them to stay away, and even if you did, it's not the the Cards will stand up and take notice--you can't withould something you don't have. And the Cardinals don't have a vocal fan base.

At this point, they are already just about down to the people who will go no matter what. A boycott is already taking place, it's just not official.

Usually the only people calling for a boycott are the ones who don't have season tickets and no intention of ever having any.

Don't you think the football fans of the Valley HAVE been boycotting?? I believe in the hayday of the Cardinals in Arizona we had upwards of 45,000+ season ticket holders. We are down to 17,000

That is a boycott in my eyes

Given the current circumstances, a boycott would be meaningless...and by boycott I mean not attending the game all together. As Ryan points out correctly, there is already a boycott going on right now.

What would matter though is a walkout. Our tickets have been purchased so show up and around the middle of the first quarter, everyone ups and leaves (remember the Royals game a couple years ago?). Have signs which would certainly be shown on FOX as you are leaving. I mean maybe you would feel like you were voicing your displeasure and that would make things better.

Only 8 times? Do you skip the preseason games?

I'll be there, at the game and at the half.

Go Cards!!!

Boycotting the games is a lame idea. As 40 said, it's usually started by people that don't go to the games regardless.

Over 40,000 tickets already sold.

I'll be there with my wife and father-in-law, screaming my lungs out as usual.

See you Sunday, Derm.
