Chargers | Boston Status Remains Uncertain - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 16 Sep 2003 10:05:44 -0700

Updating previous reports, Jim Trotter, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers WR David Boston (heel) said his bruised left heel feels better than it did early last week, but about the same as it did Friday, Sept. 12, when he was unable to practice. Boston said his status for the Sunday, Sept. 21, game against the Baltimore Ravens is uncertain. "It depends on how I feel," he said of practicing Wednesday, Sept. 17. "If it gets better, then I'll go. (But) I can't do anything while I'm hurt."

Did you catch this as well?

From Fanball.com
According to the North County Times, David Boston is in hot water with head coach Marty Schottenheimer for leaving the field before the Sunday's game was over and not joining his teammates in the locker room for the postgame talk. "If a player is on the sideline, he needs to stay there throughout the entire game,'' Schottenheimer said of Boston, who skipped the game with a bruised heel. "Our entire team should be in the locker room. I don't know what he was doing. I want him in the locker room.''

Glad he's gone. I think we got the best year David's career is going to have.

WHAT NEW STADIUM? We knew the Chargers defense was going to have growing pains, but this is agony. I thought they would at least be able to stop the run. And whoever is calling the plays on offense has got to go. I was always taught that when the running game is working, you run until they stop you. The Chargers stopped themselves with 2-, 3-and 4-yard pass attempts when their per-carry average was higher. If this keeps up, not only won't they make the playoffs, but they'll be fighting Detroit and Cincinnati for the first draft pick. This is surely not the best way to get a new stadium.

Screw Boston, and screw Plummer!

They don't play for us anymore.

Boston is a certifiable-basketcase, and will be the Cardinals version of Brain Bosworth. Look for him to be in some stupid "B" movies featuring his freakish appearance as an undercover cop investigating sterioids abuse at the Mr. Universe competition, or something along those lines.

Plummer will show his true ability (one way or another) in Denver. We're only two game into the season, the jury is still out.

Yeah, compensation for Boston would have been nice, and Jake broke our hearts.

So what...let the Chargers and Broncos about these Slap-Nuts now!

while on this topic...on the cardinals sideline on Sunday I saw injured players lucas, bell, gilmore and foster. I think KVB and starks are recovering from surgery...kasper has back problems - so perhaps he is better off not walking around...

Although I am missing a few guys...I can think of one I have not seen: michael stone...he had some shoulder problem or something...does this mean he goes back home to michigan for the next 9 months and gets paid?

Marcus Bell was taking water out with the water boys during some timeouts when we were on defense so that he could give pep talks to his defensive lineman friends...thought that was kind of cool...
