Boston Celtics point guard Derrick White can be a better player this season. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, who took a deep dive into what went wrong (in an All-Defense campaign for the University of Colorado - Boulder alum, mind you - no one is critiquing his play on that side of the ball) last season, and what White could do to improve his game in 2026-27.

Hitting more of his shots from beyond the arc is perhaps the most obvious element of what went sideways last season, but such adjustments need to take into account team composition, usage, and a host of other factors.
