Trey Yesavage’s latest start ended earlier than expected.
The Toronto Blue Jays’ right-hander was forced to come out of his start against the Houston Astros on Aug. 4 while experiencing “some kind of discomfort while warming up.”
Reliever Chad Dallas replaced Yesavage in the bottom of the third inning at Daikin Park in Houston.

Yesavage faced seven batters across the first two innings, allowing one walk and no hits. The game was tied 0-0 when Yesavage walked off the mound with Blue Jays manager John Schneider and a trainer after throwing a few practice pitches.
The cause of the injury is unclear, but it did not appear to affect Yesavage’s right arm. He tapped his left (landing) foot a couple times before he was visited by Schneider and the trainer. He stepped somewhat gingerly on the foot as they walked off.
The Blue Jays have not announced why Yesavage left the game.

Yesavage is 5-5 with a 3.73 ERA in his first full MLB season.
