Toronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Dylan Cease has been one of the brightest spots in a disappointing season up north.
That continued on Saturday, when he went the distance in a one-hitter at Fenway Park.
In the process, Cease joined Nolan Ryan in MLB history.
Ryan had previously been the only pitcher to have two consecutive road starts of at least eight innings and 10 strikeouts while allowing one or fewer hits.
Cease joined him with his last two starts on the road, according to OptaStats:

It's a positive for the Blue Jays in a season that simply hasn't had enough of them.
They gave Cease a seven-year, $210 million contract in the offseason, and he was supposed to be the piece that pushed them over the top and helped get them back to the World Series -- and maybe win it this time.
Instead, the Blue Jays are setting up to be sellers at the trade deadline.
Cease won't be traded away, of course, because he's still got that whole contract to play out.
The Blue Jays will simply have to hope that Cease can keep up this incredible form in seasons to come, when they hopefully aren't this far off the pace in the standings.
