Jan. 24—JAMESTOWN — It was a busy weekend for the Jamestown High School gymnastics team.
The Blue Jays first competed at the Jamestown Meet on Jan. 23. Dickinson won the meet with 149.250 points. The Blue Jays placed third with a point total of 139.425. On Jan. 24, the Jays competed against Wahpeton and Fargo. The Blue Jays are set to compete next at Mandan on Jan. 30 beginning at 5 p.m.
On Friday, Blue Jay senior Sutton Van Gilder was the Jays' top performer with 36.175 points to place her fourth in the all-around. The senior placed fourth overall in the vault and fifth on the uneven bars. Van Gilder scored a 9.000 on balance beam and a 9.275 on floor exercise to place seventh and eighth respectively.
Results from the Jays' competition against Wahpeton and Fargo were not available when The Jamestown Sun went to press.
