Florida State has blue-chip prospect Mekhi Williams and three-star Jemari Foreman committed at the safety position in the 2027 class. That hasn't stopped them one bit from pursuing other recruits at the position.

One of their targets is four-star Ta'Shawn Poole out of Macon, Georgia. They made him an offer in August of 2025, and he took an unofficial visit last November.

He's narrowed his choices down to six schools, and FSU made the cut per On3's Hayes Fawcett. The other five schools are Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, and Tennessee.

Poole is the No. 65 overall recruit and the nation's No. 5 safety per the Rivals industry rankings. He's the No. 6 prospect in the state of Georgia as well.

Now that Poole has Florida State on his shortlist of schools, they need to get the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder back on campus soon, specifically for an official visit during the summer.
