MANCHESTER, ENGLAND - JANUARY 18: Darren Till poses for a photo after victory over Anthony Taylor following their cruiserweight fight on the Misfits Boxing 30 Live fight card at Co-op Live on January 18, 2025 in Manchester, England. (Photo by Ben Roberts Photo/Getty Images) | Getty Images
This is the live blog for Darren Till vs. Aaron Chalmers, the co-main event fight at BKFC 90 at Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, on Saturday afternoon.
A former UFC welterweight title challenger, Till has been on a combat sports sojourn since leaving the UFC in 2022. “The Gorilla” took some time off before taking his talents to boxing, competing in exhibition bouts and influencer bouts before making his professional debut against Luke Rockhold last year. Despite going 4-0 in boxing, Till has now decided to leave the sweet science behind and try his hand at bare-knuckle, signing with BKFC in April and making his debut this weekend.
A reality TV star, Chalmers has parlayed his fame into a solid combat sports career. Chalmers sports a 5-2 record in MMA under the BAMMA and Bellator banners, and has nearly as many boxing matches under his belt, including an exhibition fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2023. Most recently, Chalmers has been competing in BKFC, going 2-0 in the promotion in 2025. He looks to make it three wins in a row against his toughest opponent to date.
Check out the Till vs. Chalmers live blog below.
Preamble
Alrighty, y’all. It’s time to see what Darren Till looks like in BKFC. The man has been doing well in boxing, but this is a completely different ball game, and we’ve seen experience matter here. Chalmers certainly has that.
Let’s boogie.

Pre Fight
Tale of the tape says Till and Chalmers are *virtually identical* in most categories, except the odds. Till is a massive betting favorite at -1250, with the comeback on Chalmers close to +650.
Chalmers walks out to “My Way.” Just by looking at him, you would have no idea he’s about to get into a fist fight.
Till out to “Losing My Religion.” He is much more animated than Chalmers. Also, he’s looking huge. Man is on some great vitamins.
We get the announcements done, and it’s time to get cracking.
Round 1
Till out in southpaw, Chalmers in orthodox. Till looks much bigger in there. Till pressing forward, Chalmers moving away. Till lands a clean left hand early as Chalmers stepped in. Both men at range, hand-fighting. Chalmers lands a lunging right hand. Till with a jab, staying busy. He’s landing, and then sneaks a left hand in. OH! But Chalmers catches him off guard with a left hook and Till goes to a knee!
Till seems fine, but knockdown counts for Chalmers, who launches the right hand on the restart but Till slips. Nothing of substance happens before the round end.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-8 Chalmers.
Round 2
Replay shows that left hook was classy, parried the lead hand and stepped into it, right on the chin. Nice round from the BKFC veteran.
Stil in open stance as Chalmers moves around.
OHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TILL CATCHES CHALMERS CLEAN WITH A COUNTER LEFT HAND RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER AND FLOORS HIM!!!!
Chalmers is face down and he is not gonna beat the count! Chalmer stepped in and perfect timing straight left from Till put him down.
The replay is brutal. As clean a punch as you can land in BKFC. Chalmers was right up to him and fully square, ate that left hand and dropped. Credit to him that he wasn’t out cold, but terrific debut from Darren Till.
Official Decision
Darren Till def. Aaron Chalmers via knockout — 0:22, Round 2.
