VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Bearcats softball team officially repeated as America East champions, meaning they once again punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament, and are off to Oklahoma.
On Sunday, the Bearcats were placed in the Norman Regional during the NCAA Selection Show.
With their automatic berth, they will make their way to the home of the #3-seeded Sooners, who are one of the most prestigious softball programs in the country. Joining them as the other two teams in the Norman Regional will be Kansas and Michigan.
The Bearcats will get underway in the double-elimination format at 3:30 pm on Friday when they take on the hosts. That game will be streamed on the SEC Network.
