The Buffalo Bills continue to tinker with their roster during the offseason, and the latest signing is a veteran pass rusher and two-time Super Bowl champion: Mike Danna (pictured below).

On Monday, the Bills signed Danna, officially listed as an outside linebacker, to a one-year contract, and today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by breaking down the signing, which should be viewed as a low-risk, potentially high-reward move.

Read more about the move, then be sure to leave your thoughts on how Danna can contribute to Jim Leonhard’s defense this year in the comments section.

The Bills have already addressed the outside linebacker through a few moves this offseason, including signing veteran Bradley Chubb and selecting Clemson’s T.J. Parker with the No. 35 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. But with returner Michael Hoecht coming off a torn right Achilles, Brandon Beane wanted to bring in more depth to the position, and Danna represents a solid signing.

Danna, 28, spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won two Super Bowls and emerged as a versatile and valuable defensive lineman. For his career, Danna has amassed 21.5 regular-season sacks and added two more in the playoffs, including a strip sack of Josh Allen in a win over the Bills in the 2024 AFC Championship game. He has recorded 51 quarterback hits and forced six fumbles during the regular season.
