There's nothing better than some off-field drama before the college football season.
Just don't say that to North Carolina coach Bill Belichick.
Recently, Belichick was suddenly in the middle of another issue after his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was reportedly banned from the Tar Heels' facilities. The development was revealed by sports reporter Pablo Torre, citing sources.
Torre claimed that the 24-year-old Hudson has been injecting herself too much in the 73-year-old Belichick's affairs, thus affecting the team. North Carolina, however, issued a statement, clarifying that Hudson is "welcome to the Carolina Football facilities."

With that behind them, Belichick was in attendance at the preliminary round of the 2025 Miss Maine USA pageant on Saturday in Portland to support Hudson, who was competing.
According to a report from The Athletic's Steve Buckley, Belichick, who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl titles, didn't shy away from being Hudson's boyfriend.
"Which brings us back to the main ballroom of the Holiday Inn by the Bay," wrote Buckley. "Belichick was there—as in front-row there. No standing off in the wings.
"He wasn’t wearing a fedora, overcoat and fake mustache. He was on full display as Jordon Hudson’s boyfriend.
Buckley noted that Hudson, a former cheerleader, looked "regal" in her purple evening gown. Belichick, meanwhile, was seated to the far left side of the ballroom.
"As was affirmed Saturday night, Belichick shares 'both a personal and professional relationship' with Hudson," added Buckley, citing a statement from North Carolina.
Hudson placed third during the coronation night on Sunday. She finished second last year.
She and Belichick started dating in 2023 after the NFL legend broke up with his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holiday. They first met on a flight in 2021.
