Rankings season is now in full swing around the NFL, where every meaningful player gets compared to his competition. For the Atlanta Falcons, the top talent on their roster is their superstar running back Bijan Robinson, who may be about to explode to a whole new level.
With Tyler Allgeier now backing up Jeremiyah Love in Arizona, Robinson's numbers should reach new heights during the 2026 season. If he stays healthy Robinson should be in the conversation for Offensive Player of the Year.
That's where one analyst has him. According to Zachary Pereles at CBS Sports, Robinson is the 60th most important player in the league this year out of 100, making the cut with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua among others in the "star offensive playmaker" category.
Robinson's rushing ability is as good as any other back in the league, including generational talent Derrick Henry. One part of his game that he doesn't get enough credit for is his work as a receiver - where he posted significantly more yards after catch last year than Christian McCaffrey, considered the game's best pass-catching running back.
The arrival of new head coach Kevin Stefanski should also help boost Robinson's production - he put together strong rushing attacks in Cleveland more often than not.
The Falcons picked up Robinson's fifth-year option so they control him through 2027, but the sooner they sign him to that massive extension the better, because his price will go up every time another running back signs a new deal.
